Hello, my name is Francisco but my friends call me Cecílio!
I love designing levels because it’s where art, storytelling, gameplay, and problem-solving meet.

Basic Info

Location: Currently living in Lisbon, Portugal

Nationality: Portuguese

Pronouns: He/Him

Birth year: 1999

Education

I graduated in November 2022 in Computer Science and Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. My master had the following specializations:
  • Games: learned about designing, developing and pitching games.
  • Interaction and Visualization: learned the guidelines for UI/UX and how to convey information in different contexts for different audiences.

More recently I took:

Water Polo

I have always been athletic and don’t know life without sports or training.

I have practiced Water Polo since age 10, so “teamwork” is familiar to me. Throughout this long journey, I have played in three different teams: Oriental, Sporting and Benfica, where I won and lost matches, learned that hard work is contagious and, above all, gained friends for life.

As I moved to Lisbon to study, the city was new to me, and I had to endure the challenge of keeping a healthy work/life balance. Water polo helped me with that.

Reading and Cinema

Movies are a big interest of mine and I consider myself a cinematographer – as I’ve seen the most popular titles from 2000 onwards (I’m not into old titles though). I’m a big fan of going to the cinema with friends or by myself.

I love reading books, especially the ones that have movie adaptations. I love to read books first and then spot the differences while I’m watching the movies!

Before bedtime, I usually spend a few minutes reading, especially after an intense day of work. Some of my favorite book franchises are “Dune” and “The Hunger Games”.

Digital Drawing

I have an interest over concept art 🙂
